AHA YOUTH CAMP PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Goal-setting, assertiveness, planning, time management,

communication skills, managing peer pressure and social media use, and strategies for

handling alcohol and drug challenges.

 Explore the rich cultural heritage of Ethiopian-Americans, understanding how to balance both Ethiopian and American identities in a diverse society. Students will gain a deeper connection to their roots and embrace the beauty of their unique background. 

 Learn essential skills for career success, including professional networking, resume building, and interview techniques. This course equips students with the tools to confidently plan and pursue their career aspirations. 

 Develop key leadership & Entrepreneurship qualities such as decision-making, problem-solving, and inspiring others. This course empowers students to take initiative and lead with integrity in various areas of their lives.

 Discover the principles of Christian living through spiritual growth, prayer, and community engagement. This course encourages students to apply their faith in everyday life and develop a disciplined Christian lifestyle. 

 Engage in a variety of fun and interactive activities such as indoor sports, board games, trivia, and more, all designed to promote teamwork, collaboration, and leadership. 

 Dive into the rich history of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, its traditions, and its role in shaping Ethiopian culture. Students will explore its influence on faith, community, and Ethiopia’s historical identity. 

 Develop the skills to build self-confidence, handle emotions effectively, and build healthy relationships. This course helps youth grow emotionally mature and resilient in facing life’s challenges.
