ABOUT AHA Youth Camp

AHA Youth Camp is based in Atlanta, Georgia. It was established in 2025 by Dr. Amanuel Haile Asfaw.  AHA is an annual summer camp that offers experiential and hands-on programs designed to empower, educate, and mentor Ethiopian American youth.

Our Mission

At Aha Youth Camp, we are dedicated to empowering youth through innovative programs and community outreach. Our goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment for young people to learn, grow, and thrive.

Our Founder

AHA Youth Camp was founded by Dr. Amanuel Haile Asfaw, aka AHA. Dr. Asfaw is an Associate Professor in the Department of Counseling at Saybrook University. With a deep passion for youth development, he has dedicated his career to supporting young people in their emotional and personal growth, with a particular focus on family relationships as one of his key areas of expertise.

Driven by his commitment to empowering Ethiopian-American youth, Dr. Asfaw established AHA Youth Camp to create a supportive environment where young individuals can build a strong sense of identity and well-being. Through the camp, Dr. Asfaw provides a transformative experience that helps youth grow emotionally, socially, and personally.
